Massage Guns
Desk tension concentrates in the upper traps, neck, and lower back — areas where a massage gun with too much amplitude is uncomfortable and one with too little stall force does nothing. The right spec sheet for an office worker looks different from an athlete's.

Stall force is how much pressure the head absorbs before the motor stops. For upper-body desk tension, 30–40 lbs is ample. Athletes working large muscle groups benefit from 50–60 lbs. High PPM numbers with low stall force feel like vibration, not massage.
Amplitude is the stroke depth. 10–12 mm suits large muscle groups. For the neck and traps, 8–10 mm is far more comfortable. If you mainly want relief from screen posture, do not buy the deepest-stroke model you can find.
Brushless motors under 55 dB let you use the gun during a call without muting. Cheap brushed motors are loud enough to end the conversation.
A percussion gun is bad at sustained, broad pressure. For a stiff neck at the end of the day, a heated shiatsu neck massager or an acupressure mat does more with less effort. For legs after training, compression boots outperform any handheld device.

Hands-free alternative that beats any gun for sustained neck and shoulder pressure.
60–120 seconds per muscle group is enough. Longer sessions on the same spot increase soreness rather than reducing it.
Use it on the muscle beside the spine, never on the spine or the front and sides of the neck. Lower speed, shorter amplitude.
